Setting Nollr as Homepage

Given this advantage, we believe it is in your best interest to set Nollr as your homepage. With Nollr as your homepage, you will have fast access and overview to all of your favorite content and more. Whether you’re using Google Chrome or Firefox, your iPhone or iPad, there is a way to make Nollr one click or tap away.

In this post, we’ll let you know how to set your browser homepage to your Nollr page in the following major browsers:

  • Google Chrome
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Apple Safari
  • Internet Explorer

As well, we’ll share how you can add Nollr to your iPhone and iPad. No need to go digging through the App Store!

 

GOOGLE CHROME

In Google Chrome, enter the browser’s preferences through your main menu, by going to Chrome > Preferences.

Preferences will open in a new tab.

In the Settings section, set Chrome to Open a specific set or set of pages under the On Startup section. Then, use the Set pages link to add the URL of your Nollr page.

Your Nollr page is represented by the URL: http://www.nollr.com/USERNAME

Now, whenever you start up the Google Chrome program, Nollr will begin loading.

If you want Nollr to be one click away as your toolbar’s Home Button:

Under the Appearance section, make sure the Show Home Button option is checked, and click the Change link to set your Nollr page as the homepage.

APPLE SAFARI

In Apple Safari, enter the browser’s preferences through your main menu, by going to Safari > Preferences.

Preferences will open in a pop-up window.

In the General section, set your homepage URL to your Nollr URL. If you would like Nollr to be loaded when Safari opens, or when new windows or tabs are opened, that setting is also available in this section.

If your Home Button is not showing in your Safari toolbar, right-click on any dead space on the toolbar to reveal the Customize Toolbar option, which allows you to add and re-arrange toolbar elements including the Home Button.

MOZILLA FIREFOX

In Mozilla Firefox, enter the browser’s preferences through your main menu, by going to Firefox > Preferences.

Preferences will open in a pop-up window.

In the General section, set your homepage URL to your Nollr URL. If you would like Nollr to be loaded when Firefox starts, choose the setting Show my home page.

INTERNET EXPLORER

iOS Icons ( iPhone and iPad )

Nollr is entirely web-based, so no matter what device you are using, Nollr is accessed through the standard web browser. On iPhone and iPad, that web browser is Mobile Safari. While most of the icons on your iPhone or iPad represent applications, you can also add icons to your device for web-based applications like Nollr.

To begin, navigate to your Nollr homepage on your iPhone or iPad via the Safari application.

Your Nollr page is found at the URL: http://www.nollr.com/USERNAME

Once you have reached your Nollr homepage, click the bottom arrow icon to expand options.

An option menu will expand open, where you can select the option Add to Home Screen:

A final menu prompts you to name your new home screen icon, which will be auto-filled as Nollr.

After the icon is named to your liking, tap Add to finish the task.
